Zell am Ziller is nestling in the heart of the fascinating Zillertal Valley, with sky-reaching peaks and snow-white beauty surrounding it. The town is part of the Zillertal Arena and assures direct access to skiing variety and amount of opportunities beyond imagination.

Winter activities
The resort itself offers to skiers 47 km of runs, mainly catering for intermediates. The learning and advancing lovers of the most popular winter sport will adore the variety of blue and red pistes granting one of the best terrains to quickly improve. As to advanced skiers, they will not be bored at all in Zell am Ziller. There are 7 black runs to test their abilities and challenge their courage. Some quite tempting off-piste is also available. The Zillertal Super Ski Pass, encompassing 176 ski lifts, will take to some of the best skiing spots of the world. It assures access to 625 km of pistes in all the resorts included in the Zillertal Arena - Gerlos, Konigsleiten, Gerlosplatte, Hochkrimml, and also Mayrhofen with the Hintertux glacier. Additional skiing in the Arena will be a dream experience and will require your stay to be prolonged a bit… In Zell am Ziller snowboarders will find 2 perfectly equipped snow parks and great off-piste in the resort and the neighbor areas. A major attraction in the town is the 7 km toboggan run, which is floodlit at night and is set at just few kilometers from the town center. If you find some time to have fun off the slopes, you will be delighted to find the many options in the village - the Freizeitpark invites for some ice-skating, ice-curling, bowling, or a swim in the indoor pool.

Summer activities
The resort is truly fascinating in summer and offers great possibilities for a superb holiday. Those that are keen on hiking can try the various hiking and biking trails leading to unforgettable places of the alpine scenery. For the leisure walkers there is a gondola providing easy access to the mountain peaks, from where to explore the stunning mountain areas. The impressive glacier offers exciting winter sports, but is also ideal for summer skiing. The panorama to 600 peaks over 3000m is not to forget. Other splendid opportunities for a great experience include mountain biking across the romantic alpine valleys, paragliding, rafting, tennis and golf, as well as many others…Just come and believe it on your own!

Zell am Ziller is a market town and enjoys a lively traditional atmosphere. Besides great shopping, you will also be charmed by the typical mountain cafes and bistros of cheerful ambience and friendly servicing. There is a nightclub and several pubs, though still the town is not as wild as its neighbor Mayrhofen. For those who appreciate fine cuisine, 21 restaurants offer the best examples of traditional gastronomy as well as some excellent Italian meals.
