Westendorf Ski Resort is great for intermediate and expert skiers. This charming alpine village is one of the smaller Austrian winter resorts, offering access to 45 km of downhill runs with 20 individual runs served by 13 lifts. Innsbruck Airport is just an hour’s drive away. Westendorf also has a modern snow park and half pipe for snowboarders. This is one of the nine villages in the Kaiser/Brixental, the biggest ski area in the country. Slope-side accommodations are available. The base consists of 4300 beds in total. The village offers a myriad of shopping opportunities, mountain cabins, banks, and nightclubs. Recreational opportunities include winter hiking, tobogganing, curling, ice skating, and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Bowling and paragliding are possible as well.
