Vent is a lovely Alpine village, set at the altitude of 1,900 metres and nestled amongst mountain peaks along with the highly erecting Wildspitze (3,774 m). This area is especially recommended to all enthusiasts of mountain adventures, but also to everyone who wants to admire the scenic panorama and natural wonders of Tirol. Summer activities
Every summer the area turns into a world of magic presenting all the colourful flowers on the meadows, tender verdure and beautiful Alpine lakes. More than 40 hiking routes will make you adore the magnificent scenery and provoke you to climb the highest summits of Wildspitze. Experienced guides can take you to the mounatian shelters, passing through marvelous areas. If you decide to stay down in the village, there are still some amusing ways for spending your leisure time, such as table tennis and bowling. Sunrises and sunsets are none-to-one, when the peaks of the Ötztal Alps seem to be burning in red from the sun rays.
Winter activities
Vent's scenery is also spectacular in winter, with all these snow covered summits and awesome rocky fields, attracting all skiers and climbers. Snow making facilities ensure perfect conditions on the slopes, from the bottom station of the cabin car (1,900 meters) to the highest one at the altitude of 2,680 metres. Ideally organised transportation system includes a double chair lift and t-bar lifts for the skiing fans to use. You have access to 15 kilometres of pistes, providing opportunity for all, from beginners to experts. Snowboarders will also find an appropriate terrain to devote themselves to the wild adventure at the well-groomed slopes below the glacier. For those that wish to improve their skills, the ski school offers courses in January and March. Moreover, there are 3,5 kilometres of cross-country skiing tracks and a 5-kilometre long toboggan run, to complete the list of activities. In addition, snowshoe walking is gaining on popularity in the Vent surroundings.

Surprisingly enough, this is the region, where the Ice Man was found. It is not a legend, but a true story, as in 1991 the oldest mummified body of a European hunter was discovered in the Ötzi Mountains. Vent is such a romantic village that many wish to visit it at Christmas to enjoy the holidays in the secluded environment, dining at candle-lit tables of cosy guesthouses. Anytime, however, you may expect a warm welcome from the hospitable inhabitants. There are local cafés, restaurants and pubs, where you can spend pleasant afternoons and evenings and taste the typical Tirolean delicacies complementing to the character of the village For all those, who are ready for active après-ski life, there are bars and discotheques promising an exciting end of the day.
