Telfes boasts to be the sunniest village in the Stubai valley, lying amidst the romantic mountain and glacier landscape just at the heart of Tyrolean Alps. The picturesque valley is surrounded by peaks of over 3,000 metres, forming the border with Italy. The nearest railway station is in Innsbruck, reachable within less than hour also by the local attraction - the tram (Stubaitalbahn). The distance to Salzburg is 200km, to Munich – 180km.

Set at approximately 1000m altitude, Telfes is an excellent starting point for mountain tours to the attractive waterfalls and high meadows. You can reach the famous Schlick 2000 ski area by ski bus within a few minutes. The modern lifts will take you up at more than 2000m elevation, where you will find the ski paradise with slopes at all levels of difficulty. Ski schools are organized for the beginners and those who want to improve their skills in the winter sports.
