Visitors say that the resort has the most beautiful square in Tirol, fascinating with the authentic white houses, a parish church, a small 16th-Century castle and a beautiful fountain in the centre. Winter activities
Skiing possibilities at the Zillertal mountains are exceptional and the region guarantees first-class winter holiday. The ski pass allows you to explore the slopes of the Ski Optimal Hochfügen – Hochzillertal arena with 145 kilometres of well-maintained ski runs. There is a well-organized lift system with 111 cable cars, chairlifts and towlifts. There is an easy access to the Tuxer Glacier, reaching up to an altitude of 3,300 metres, as well as to the skiing centres of Zell am Ziller and Fugen. Ski schools provide an excellent opportunity for the beginners who can become experts one day, whereas the qualified instructors from the ski kindergarten will help the youngest visitors in their first steps on the slope. Admire the scenic surroundings by following the cross-country skiing tracks, have fun on the tobogganing track, or take part in a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride.

Summer is wonderful in Stumm with all the green pastures, colourful meadows and majestic mountain summits. The landscape is truly magnificent, featuring a contrast between the flat valley basin of the village and the 3,000-metre high slopes. You can also go on a trip by the mountain railway Hochzillertal to observe the beautiful scenery from above.
