Skiing will be both the pleasure and winter freshness – double, when you get as high as Nauders is. The resort is a charming village high up, at 1365 m above sea level, in western Tyrol. Its highest lift will bring you to the impressive 2850 m, where Austrian skies almost join with the very close Italian and Swiss ones. Fascinating and ice-fresh, you will agree. The resort of Nauders is part of the fabulous skiing region called Ski Paradise Reschenpass. The area spreads out from southwestern Tyrol (the city of Landeck) to the pass that enters into Switzerland. The Reschen mountain pass is especially worth seeing for its intriguing magnitude. The lift pass of Schiparadies Reschenpass connects Austrian Tyrol with the non-Italian sounding resorts of Schöneben and Haider that you can easily reach. Nauders visitors also have the unique chance to go skiing to Switzerland, for a change, as it is just within reach.

Skiing is exactly the activity you would especially enjoy practicing in Nauders. Runs for medium, advanced and beginning skiers are available on the perfectly maintained slopes. At this altitude lots, of snow is guaranteed from early December to late April, though the lowest 90 kilometers of the runs are artificially snowed to assure the fun and long-lasting sensation of all skiers. Modern lift system of 28 lifts will transfer you all along the 55 km of pistes. Skiing freaks and snowboarders will particularly enjoy the off-piste terrains. A specialized and perfectly equipped boarding park is available for the latter. Cross-country skiing up to the peaks and into the heart of the mountain, along 40 km of beautiful mountain trails is another pleasure you can discover in Nauders. There are also perfect conditions for tobogganing, snowshoeing, ice-skating, telemark. One you should not miss is a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh – fresh and delightful, this could be your romantic trip along the deep paths of the snowy mountain.
