The village of Kramsach is located in the heart of the Zillertal Alps, forming together with Reith and Alpbach the Alpbachtal skiing area. It is a low altitude resort, situated at only 520 m above sea level, but offers access to pistes up to 1800m of altitude. The village is set in the midst of adorable mountain scenery and ensures calm and relaxing atmosphere.
Ski season in the area lasts from December to March, and due to the low altitude of the resort snow making is assured on the lower slopes. The resort skiing area includes 25 km
of downhill runs suitable mainly for intermediate skiers. Still 24% of the terrain is easy and perfect for initiating skiers, while 14% will challenge advanced and experts. The slopes are serviced by 8 lifts. 17 km of marked mountain trails are available for cross country skiers to enjoy. Some additional skiing is available in the Alpbachtal area offering 46 km of slopes overall, mainly catering for progressing intermediates. Snowboarders will find a perfectly equipped snow park in Kramsach and some pretty tempting off-piste to explore on the higher parts of the mountain.
