It neighbours the villages Imsterberg, Karres, Karrösten, Schönwies and Mils, where the traditional character has been preserved, as well as the natural impressive beauties. From Imst and its inhabitants you can expect hospitality and relaxing ambience that will let you escape from the city's hustle and bustle.

Winter activities
In winter the resort attracts skiing entusiasts to explore its magnificent ski arena There is a total of 9 kilometres of slopes for any type of abilities and preferences along with a well-established lift system providing you access to an area at the altitude exceeding 2,000 metres. Plenty of sunshine will make your skiing a pleasant experience, continuing into night, as three times per week the lifts are open even after dark, not to mention that one of the longest lighted night ski runs in Tirol is right there. There is excellent ski infrastructure also for the young visitors – nursery slopes with many facilities for their fun, free child care and specially trained ski guides. With your ski pass you will get free rides on the exciting Alpine-Coaster and enjoy the spectacular panorama from above.

At the scenic mountain area there is a splendid combination of beautiful lakes, colourful meadows and appealing nature that encourages you to take the rucksack and explore the terrain. Climbing at the highest and most modern climbing wall is possible right in Imst. Nordic walking will allow you to get the best from the resort. Swimming and fishing are amongst the other sport opportunities in Imst, as well as mountain biking, tennis and rafting. Why not try beach volleyball or asphalt curling for a change?
