Immersed in the deep white snow of the Tyrolean Alps, at 1000 m above sea level, the town of Ehrwald welcomes visitors and winter addicts for an unforgettable holiday. The town is situated close to the famous Lermoos resort and next to the Zugspitz Glacier with something to offer for all your whims. It is part of the Zugspitz area with Lermoos and other neighbor resorts, assuring infinite snow fun in winter and a myriad of sunshine activities in summer. Ehrwald enjoys a long-lasting snow season from October to the end of April, thanks to its location and the nearby Glacier. The skiing area of the resort offers 21 km of great terrain to suit all abilities, still most convenient for beginners and families. There is a skiing school and convenient lift system – both allowing you to let your children take their first skiing lessons here and let you follow close their improving. 1 km of difficult runs will tempt experts, but what is really worth for better skiers is skiing on the Glacier. Enthusiastic cross country skiers will find 60 km of marked trails taking them into the heart of the magical mountain. Ehrwald is the boarder’s delight – 3 half-pipes and a great snow park will let you surf on the board from dusk till dawn. And more, the resort has been awarded the Snowboard Seal of Quality and it is for sure one of the best boarding stations in Austria.

More adventures are here for you even when off the slopes. Starting from curling, ice-skating and tobogganing, you will be tempted by winter hiking opportunities, the romantic guided walks, llama trekking or horse-drawn sleigh riding. The resort has taken care to constantly surprise you.

Apres-ski in the village is lively and traditional. 20 restaurants will shelter you for a delightful local or international meal and fun is guaranteed in the 7 bars. Nightlife is quite entertaining with boarders in town, but the resort is a perfect family destination so relaxing evenings in cozy bistros are also available.
