You can reach us by car from the nearest major cities Munchen, Salzburg, Vienna and Innsbruck.


Arriving from Munchen. Driving instructions:

The distance from Munchen to Ehrwald is 113 km.

Approx. 6km after leaving Munchen, turn right on B2R / E54 and through Pass Munchen continue on A95 / E533 for 69 km.
Then you have to take B2 / E533 for 12km, afterwards - B23 for another 15km.
Entry in Austria follows, on which territory head on B187 for 8km and you will arrive in Ehrwald.


Driving from Salzburg, follow the route:

From Salzburg to Ehrwald are 205 km.

Leave Salzburg and after 4km take B155 and then A1 / E60.
After 9km drive you will enter into Germany.
A8 / E52 is the right highway - drive for 84km, then 51km on B472, 21km on A95 / E533, 12km on B2 / E533, 15km on B23 and you will reach the Austrian border.
Head on B187 for about 8 km and you will reach Ehrwald.


Driving from Vienna

The distance between Vienna and Ehrwald is 500 km. Follow the instructions:

Leave Vienna and after 15km take B1, then A1 for about 295km in total.
German border is the next point, after which you have to head on A8 / E52 (84 km) and after 51km on B472, 21km on A95 / E533, 12km on B2 / E533, 15km on B23 and the Austrian border will be the next that follows.
Drive on B187 for about 8 km and you will arrive in Ehrwald.


Driving from Innsbruck

The distance Innsbruck- Ehrwald is 77 km. Follow the driving instructions:

3km after Innsbruck, take A12 / E60 for 35km, Locherbodenweg and Landesstraße for approx.5km and then B189 for 13km, B179 for 16km, 2km on Pass Biberwier, about 2km more and you will arrive in Ehrwald.


By train:
Ehrwald has its own nearest railway station, which can be reached mainly from Munich, Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Zurich. The route from Munich is: Munich - Garmisch, then by changing the train you will get to Ehrwald.
Another possible route is from Vienna, then to Salzburg - Innsbruck - Imst and afterwards by taxi or bus to Ehrwald.
If coming from Zurich, you will pass through Arlberg and Imst, after which a transfer by taxi or bus follows to Ehrwald.

Keep in mind that you can use some special reductions and offers for visitors by the railways of DB, DB Motorrail, OBB and SBB.


By air:
The nearest airports are in Munich and Innsbruck.
From the Munich airport, there are approx. 108 km by train via Garmisch to Ehrwald.
From Innsbruck airport: approx. 70 km to Ehrwald by transfer via Nassereith - Fernpass - Lermoos and finally Ehrwald.
