You can reach us by car from the nearest major cities Munchen, Salzburg, Vienna and Innsbruck.


Arriving from Munchen. Driving instructions:

The distance from Munchen to St. Gilgen in Tirol is 184 km.

6km after leaving Munchen, turn left on A8 towards Salzburg, Nurnberg and Munchen and drive 126km. Thus you will reach the Austrian border.
Later head on A1/ E60 for 37km, B154 for 14km and you will arrive in St. Gilgen in Tirol.


Driving from Salzburg, follow the route:

From Salzburg to St. Gilgen are only 32 km.

Leave Salzburg and after 5km take B158 for 25km and you will directly get into St. Gilgen.


Driving from Vienna

The distance between Vienna and St. Gilgen is 289 km. Follow the instructions:

Leave Vienna and after 15km take B1, then A1 for about 258km in total.
Drive on B154 for 15 km and you will arrive in St. Gilgen.


Driving from Innsbruck

The distance Innsbruck- St. Gilgen is 229 km. Follow the driving instructions:

3km after Innsbruck, take B182 for a kilometer, then A13 / E45 for about 4km and A12 / E45 / E60 for 75 km.
After entering Germany, head on A93/ E45 for 26km, then A8/ E52 for 68km and you will reach the Austrian border.
Then follow the route: A1/ E60 for 37km, B154 for 14km and you will arrive in St. Gilgen.


By train:
There are regular trains from Vienna to Salzburg. Then you can take the bus via Hof, and Fuschl and reach St. Gilgen.
If coming from Germany, the most convenient route is Munich - Salzburg, then by bus to St. Gilgen.


By plane:
Salzburg airport is the nearest one. There are many flights you can choose from and when arrive at the airport, you can take a train, bus or taxi to St. Gilgen.
