Kitzsteinhorn, Maiskogel and Schmittenhohe are 3 ski areas creating one big Europa Sportregion, with over 132 km of ski pistes and excellent skiing facilities. Kitzsteinhorn glacier is best suitable for the intermediate skiers, Maiskogel – for families with children and Schmittenhohe is the perfect choice for the advanced looking for adventures. All of the areas are reachable by the ski bus.

Except for the alpine skiing possibilities there are also attractions fro the snowboarders, who will find there the pistes prepared especially for them and a modern snow park in Zell am See – Kaprun. In teh region there is also about 200 km of cross country skiing routes.
