Situated to the south of Salzburg, in the vicinity of great skiing areas, the glacier and such popular winter destinations as Kaprun and Zell am See, Bruck makes a perfect town for both winter and summer holidays. Surrounded by the mountains, including the Hohe Tauern famous for the national park, it has plenty of hiking tracks letting you experience the beauty of the whole Pinzgau region and its breath-taking sights. What's more, cycling and mountain biking tours are possible from Bruck in several directions. In the wintertime this area is frequently visited by cross-country skiing amateurs. The town has ski lifts ideal for the beginners, but the nearby Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe provide great conditions and facilities for all alpine skiers.
