Bad Hofgastein is a charming village in the Gastein Valley, on the northern slopes of the Sauern Alps. Situated a bit lower than its neighbor Bad Gastein, the village is part of the Skiverbund Amade ski pass, the largest in Austria, which services 800 km of slopes with one lift system. Both villages are famous for their hot springs of impressive curative qualities and the relaxing beauty of the surrounding mountain scenery. A bit calmer than Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein offers you serenity with the right dose of entertainment for a perfect holiday. Offering easy access to vast skiing opportunities with the Skiverbund Amade ski pass, the village skiing area is great for beginners with its excellent myriad of nursery slopes. Intermediates are also perfectly catered for with the variety of skiing slopes around the village and higher at Bad Gastein. Great challenges for advanced skiers are found in the area with some advanced runs, the vast off-piste terrain and the near located so-called Kamikaze racing run. Snowboarders will find a snow park and a half-pipe as well as the many opportunities of the Skiverbund Amade area.
