Getting to Kitzbuhel

You can reach us by car from the nearest major cities Munchen, Salzburg, Vienna and Innsbruck.


Arriving from Munchen. Driving instructions:

The distance from Munchen to Kitzbuhel is 130 km.

6km after leaving Munchen, turn left on A8 towards Salzburg, Nurnberg and Munchen and drive 58km. 25 km on A93 / E45 and you will reach the Austrian border.
Later head on A12 / E45 / E60 and drive for 7km.
Take B173 for 10km, then close to Soll head on B178 for 15km.
About 6km on B161 and you will arrive in Kitzbuhel.


Driving from Salzburg, follow the route:

From Salzburg to Kitzbuhel are 82 km.

Leave Salzburg and after 4km take B155 and then A1 / E55/ E60.
5km more, then 4km on B1 and you will enter into Germany.
B21 / E60 is the right highway - drive for 23km and you will reach the Austrian border.
Head on B178 for 37 km, then 6km on B161 and then you will reach Kitzbuhel.


Driving from Vienna

The distance between Vienna and Kitzbuhel is 377 km. Follow the instructions:

Leave Vienna and after 15km take B1, then A1 and again B1 for about 292km in total.
German border is the next point, after which you have to head on B21 / E60 (23 km) and then the Austrian border will be the next. B178 for 37km-drive, 6km on B161 and you will arrive in Kitzbuhel.


Driving from Innsbruck

The distance Innsbruck- Kitzbuhel is 105 km. Follow the driving instructions:

3km after Innsbruck, take B182 for a kilometer, then A13 / E45 for about 4km and A12 / E45 / E60 for 60 km.
B171 for 100m, B178 for another 27 km and after approx. 6km you will arrive in Kitzbuhel.

Kitzbuhel is a very attractive medieval town with cobbled streets and charming pastel coloured houses. The town is tucked away in a broad valley amongst the beautiful mountain scenery of the Tyrolean Alps. The area of Kitzbuhel includes the resorts of Aurach, Kirchberg, Jochberg and Pass Thurn, reachable and also interconnected by lifts or train and bus service. Most of the runs at Kitzbuhel are for non-experts (beginners and intermediate skiers). There are also runs like the long and wide Hahnenkamm, which is for more advanced skiers.

By train:
There are railway connections from Salzburg to Kitzbuhel, with changes of the train in Worgl or Bischofshofen. From Innsbruck train station you can take the direct train to Kitzbuhel. Another opportunity is to take the train from Munich to Kitzbuhel or to Worgl, from where you can take a train transfer to Kitzbuhel available every hour, with total journey time about 2.5 - 3.5 hours.


By plane:
Looking for the quickest and cheapest way to reach Kitzbuhel ski resort is take one of the various cheap flights to Salzburg, Munich or Innsbruck airports. The nearest main airports to Kitzbuhel are Munich (153 km), Salzburg (70 km) and Innsbruck (100 km).
