Kaprun is a famous ski resort, situated in Europa Sport region which can be visited all throughout the year. Directly linked by bus with the bigger Zell am See, this is a comparatively calm and traditional in style village where everybody feels like home. Together with Zell am See, Saalbach and Schaldming, Kaprun belongs to the great skiing area, which known as a paradise for skiiers. The resort is also frequently visited by the families, attracted by the scenic landscape and numerous facilities for their children.

Winter activities
In winter, skiers can find the perfect conditions for their favourite sport taking advantage of the 130km of terrain with varied pistes and ski lifts. Beginners and intermediates will be the most privileged amongst the ski fans, since 82% of the slopes are indicated for non-experts. Of course, there are still opportunities for professionals who can enjoy the pistes on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and under the summits. The high altitude guarantees a high quality of the snow cover most time during the season and even if you are not certain about your techniques, the instructors from the ski school will help you to develop your abilities. Cross-country skiing and snow shoeing are other activities available and the ice rink invites the adherents of winter skating for a nice experience.

Summer activities
Summer is the season when tourists attack the hiking routes, eager to find out more about the alpine spirit of the area. On the saddle of the mountain bike you can explore the natural beauties of the surroundings including mountain lakes, waterfalls, age-old forests, etc. Dare-devils can try out paragliding, climbing and hang gliding, as well as contemplate the stunning views from the ridges. In the resort there is a sport centre, fitness centre and swimming pool for those that are not keen of active mountain sports. Bowling and golf are also great fun, so the amusement never stops here.
