By car:
Take the Motorway Munich Salzburg and turn at the Gasteinertal exit. Then continue to Boeckstein and after you pass the Tauern Tunnel follow the signs to Mallnitz.

Another option is to drive from Munich to Glossglockner and then along the high-alpine road. After Heiligenblut head towards Obervellach and you will soon be in Mallnitz.

Coming from Viena, you should pass via Semmering and continue towards Bruck/Murt. Take the road to Klagenfurt, then continue to Villach, Spittal and finally Mallnitz.

Along the Tauern Motorway, take the exit to Spittal and continue towards Mallnitz.


By train:
Take the train to Villach and the transfer to reach Mallnitz/Obervellach railway station.


By plane:
The closest airports are: Salzburg at 100 km and Klagenfurt at 100 km.
head south on Route 91 and take the first exit marked MARIA WÖRTH. Follow an unclassified road running along the southern tier of the lake. The drive takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
