Alpine Flower Garden in Kitzbuhel

As St. Johann in Tirol lies at the base of Kitzbueheler Horn, it is possible to visit the world-renowned alpine flower garden. The garden features species of flora in their natural habitat. It is accessible via the recently-opened cable car up Kitzbueheler Horn. The garden lies at an altitude of 6500 feet. From here a magical view of mountain ridges and towns below will spread before your eyes. The garden offers one of the most exotic collections of alpine flora in the region, enclosed in rocky confines. Species include lichens, gorse, gentian, and heather. The flowers grace the sunny slopes of Kitzbüheler Horn. The garden is open from May to September each year.
Ellmau Local Heritage Museum

Another interesting attraction is the Local Heritage Museum in Ellmau, a town 23 km away from Fieberbrunn. The museum tour begins in the hall and takes visitors to the cozy wood-paneled living room, the larder, the kitchen, a small room where old tools are exhibited, the bedroom, a chamber in which flags and old uniforms are displayed, and finally the stables. There are also some displays of old farming and forestry tools.
