The Glacier is popular with ski enthusiasts in the winter and with hikers in the summer. The 2700-m peak is accessible by cable car. Many sports and leisure activities are available here, such as summer tobogganing, biking, or simply walking and taking in the sights.

Hohenwerfen Fortress
( 31 km away from Filzmoos, 28 km away from Flachau, 28 km away from Radstadt )
Hohenwerfen Fortress is located near the town of Werfen. This fortress is 900 years old. It rises in the scenic Salzach Valley between the Hagen and Tennen mountain ranges. The bulwark dates from the 11th century. A variety of attractions is available, such as a weapons exhibit, a medieval shop, tours of the fortress, a romantic castle tavern, and the historic Falconry Center, offering flight demonstrations by various birds of prey on a daily basis. The first Falconry Museum in Austria is located here. There are also temporary exhibitions.

Eisriesenwelt
( 31 km away from Filzmoos, 28 km away from Flachau, 28 km away from Radstadt )
The ice caves near Werfen are among the biggest ones in the world. They are part of a cave system with a total length of 42 km. The entrance, which is 18 m high and 20 m wide, is visible from far away. Only 1 km of the cave has an ice cover. This part is open to the public. In the summer the temperature inside the cave is 0 degrees C, so you are advised to dress warm. Beautiful ice cascades grace the cave walls. After passing through the entrance hall visitors go on to the vast Posselt Hall. The path passes Posselt Tower, a huge stalagmite at the center of Posselt Hall, and then you reach Posselt Cross after an upward stretch. This is a tiny mark, designating the furthest point reached by explorer Anton Posselt in 1879.

Liechtensteinklamm Canyon
( 36 km away from Filzmoos, 34 km away from Flachau, 33 km away from Radstadt )
Salzburger Sportwelt is not away from the charming cathedral town of St. Johann im Pongau. Apart from the monuments within city limits, there is a marvelous natural attraction in the surroundings of St. Johann im Pongau, namely the Liechtensteinklamm. The stones covered in deep green moss, the rainbows that come alive in the sunlight after the rain, and the roaring waters of the falls create the characteristic mesmerizing atmosphere of the canyon. This canyon is one of the deepest and longest ones in the Alps. It took millenniums for the waterfalls and the river current to make formations in the ground. In some areas the rocks are as high as 300 m.
